The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V” to Second Lieutenant Neal Creighton, United States Army, for valor while assigned as a platoon leader of Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 64th Armored Regiment, 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized), on 27 February 1991. Second Lieutenant Creighton commanded the Advanced Guard Platoon during the Task Force’s 370 kilometer attack into the Republic of Iraq. He led the Task Force’s main effort during the attack on Jalibah Airfield with superb leadership. Second Lieutenant Creighton’s performance of duty is in keeping with the highest traditions of the Military Service and reflects great credit upon himself, this command, and the United States Army.
