(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant Arnold Robert Thomas, Jr., United States Air Force, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving as an F-4D Fighter Pilot of the 480th Tactical Fighter Squadron, and subsequently as an F-4D Fast Forward Air Controller, 390th Tactical Fighter Squadron, DaNang Air Base, South Vietnam, in action against the enemy over Southeast Asia from 1968 to 1969. His devotion to duty and courage under all conditions serve as an inspiration to his fellow flyers. His actions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of the United States.
