(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain George W. Norwood, United States Air Force, was awarded a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in addition to a previously awarded Silver Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Seventh Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an A-1H Skyraider Pilot, 6th Special Operations Squadron, Pleiku Air Base, South Vietnam, from 1968 to 1969; and while serving as an F-4 Pilot of the 469th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand, from March to October 1972, in action against the enemy during 450 combat over Southeast Asia. His devotion to duty and courage under all conditions serve as an inspiration to his fellow flyers. His actions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of the United States.
