(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Major General Leslie W. Bray, Jr., United States Air Force, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States, culminating as Assistant Director of Plans for Joint and National Security Council Matters from June 1967 to September 1969; Deputy Director of Plans from October 1969 to January 1971; and as Director of Doctrine, Concepts, and Objectives, with additional duty as Special Assistant for Vietnamization from February 1970 to October 1973. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Bray and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
