    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Jamadar Riki Raiale, Indian Army, was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action while serving with the 6th Gurkha Rifles in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II. He led his platoon against strong Japanese forces. He was always the first to throw his grenade, the first to rise and lead assaults, and killed the enemy with his bayonet and kukri. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the Military Forces.
