The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal (Army Award) to Petty Officer Second Class Eric Cole Graham, United States Navy, for exceptionally meritorious service from 1 August 2008 to 20 March 2009 while deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, as the Intelligence Officer and as an Afghan National Police Mentor, Regional Police Advisory Command – Central, Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan. Petty Officer Graham distinguished himself as an Afghan National Police Mentor by demonstrating superior professionalism, determination and technical knowledge. His efforts dramatically improved the security of the Afghan people and have increased the sustainability of U.S. Forces and the Afghan National Police in the Central Region. His performance of duty in a combat zone reflects great credit upon himself, the Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan, the United States Central Command and the United States Navy.
