The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit, in the Degree of Officer (Navy Award) to Squadron Leader Henry Campbell Walker, Royal New Zealand Air Force, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States. Squadron Leader Walker made nuemrous search flights, bombing missions, special photography, illuminating and observation flights in cooperaiton with U.S. Air Forces during the Solomon Islands Campaign from 20 January 1943 to 3 April 1943.
