Charles Snider received a doctorate of veterinary medicine degree in 1940 at Kansas State College, Manhattan, Kansas, and under the Air Force Institute of Technology Program, attended the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Michigan, and in 1951 earned a master’s degree in public health. He entered active military service in December 1941, and performed duty as a veterinary officer. He retired in 1971 as a U.S. Air Force Brigadier General.
