Dan Ogle graduated from Eureka College, Ill., in 1924 and received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1929. After serving as a Medical Officer in the Army Air Forces in World War II, he transferred to the U.S. Air Force when it became a separate branch of service in 1947. From 1954 to 1958 he served as the 3d Surgeon General of the Air Force and retired in 1958 as a U.S. Air Force Major General.
