Dana Atkins was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 1977 upon graduation from the University of Portland, in Oregon. During his career he flew as a member of the Air Force “Thunderbirds”. He retired in 2012 as a U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General.
