John Hyten was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program upon graduation from Harvard University in 1981. In 2014 he was appointed a U.S. Air Force 4-Star General. From 2019 to 2021 he served as the 11th Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
