(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Junior Grade Sabe Legatos (NSN: 0-278197), United States Navy, was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in connection with military operations against an armed enemy as a Pilot in Fighting Squadron TWELVE (VF-12), embarked in U.S.S. RANDOLPH (CV-15), off Tokyo, on 16 February 1945. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Naval Service.
