The Secretary of Defense of the United States of America has presented a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Defense Distinguished Service Medal to Colonel Richard Oswalt Covey, United States Air Force, for for exceptionally distinguished performance of duty contributing to national security and the defense of the United States. The distinctive accomplishments of Colonel Covey reflect great credit upon himself, the United States Air Force, and the Department of Defense.
