The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Colonel (Corps of Engineers) Karl T. Klock, Jr., United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from December 1957 to July 1965. [This award supersedes award of the Army Commendation Medal to Colonel Klock for meritorious service during the period 30 August 1960 to 15 August 1963 as announced in General Orders Number 15, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Office of the Chief of Engineers, Washington, D.C., dated 12 September 1963.]
