(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Motor Machinist’s Mate Third Class Stanley H. Jolly, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroic conduct in giving up his life jacket for a wounded shipmate at the time that he received the order to abandon ship, serving aboard the U.S.S. PGM 18, at Okinawa, on 8 April 1945.
