Johne, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Fighter Pilot in Fighting Squadron SEVENTY-FIVE (VF-75), over the Solomon Islands area, from 25 September 1943 to 1 March 1944.
