Drover, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Pilot of a Patrol Plane in Patrol Squadron TWENTY-ONE (VP-21), over Kyushu, Shikoku, Honshu, and Korea, from 29 March 1945 to 30 July 1945.
