The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy and Marine Corps Medal to Lieutenant Benjamin T. Logan, United States Navy, for heroic conduct as Assistant Officer-in-Charge of the U.S.S. LCT 340, in effecting the rescue of a seaman off Cap Bon, Tunisia, on 9 February 1944.
