(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain Laphriam R. McLean, Jr., United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Commander of a fire support unit and as Officer-in-Charge, dispatching assault boats in the northern islands of Kwajalein Atoll, during World War II.
