(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Aviation Machinist’s Mate Third Class Alfred Floyd Priest, Jr., United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Tail Gunner of a Patrol Bomber in Patrol Bombing Squadron EIGHTEEN (VPB-18), over Tsushima Strait, on 15 May 1945.
