Harold, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Navigator of a Patrol Bomber in Patrol Bombing Squadron EIGHTEEN (VPB-18) over Tsushima Strait on 15 May 1945.
