Case, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Pilot in Bombing Squadron EIGHTY (VB-80), embarked in U.S.S. TICONDEROGA (CV-14), over the Philippine Islands, on 25 November 1944.
