(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant [then Lieutenant, Junior Grade] Richard R. Frailey, United States Navy, was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action as Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. Patrol Craft 621 (PC-621), in action against enemy torpedo boats at Anzio, Italy, on 20 February 1944. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Naval Service.
