Dunn, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Executive Officer and later as Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. BOGUE (CVE-9), in the Atlantic area, from October 1942 to April 1944.
