(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Aviation Machinist’s Mate Third Class Leonard Pukita (NSN: 8212865), United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Aircrewman in a Patrol bomber in Patrol Bombing Squadron ONE HUNDRED NINETEEN (VPB-119), in the forward Pacific area from 7 March 1945 to 15 May 1945.
