Huntington, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Assistant to War Plans Officer and later Head Advance Base Division, Bureau of Docks, 6 July 1940 to 2 January 1943; and as Officer-in-Charge Advance Base Division, Chicago, Illinois, from 6 January 1943 to 10 July 1944.
