(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant, Junior Grade Jerry Penrose Dougan (NSN: 0-263504), United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Pilot and Plane Commander in Patrol Bombing Squadron ONE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN (VPB-117) at Cape St. Jacques off French Indo China on 30 April 1945.
