Dreisonstok, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States in inaugurating and directing maintenance programs of landing craft in support of amphibious operations of the United States Fleet during World War II.
