Easton, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Chief Staff Officer and Operations Officer of a patrol wing during the Bay of Biscay offensive and the invasion of occupied France during World War II.
