The President of the United States of America takes pride in presenting the Navy and Marine Corps Medal (Posthumously) to Chief Radioman Felice Phillip DeCesare, Jr. (NSN: 2072104), United States Navy, for heroic conduct while serving aboard a United States Submarine during war patrols in enemy controlled waters during World War II. As Chief Radioman during his submarine’s many patrols, he maintained the radio and sound equipment in efficient condition despite numerous handicaps, and aided materially in the sinking or damaging of thousands of tons of enemy shipping.
