Clark (NSN: 0-329421), United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Pilot of a fighter plane in Fighting Squadron FORTY-SIX (VF-46) embarked in U.S.S. COWPENS over the Tokyo area on 16 February 1945.
