The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy and Marine Corps Medal to Electrician’s Mate Second Class Ralph M. Miller, United States Navy, for heroic conduct when his warship, during escort of convoy operations, was attacked by German aircraft on 2 September 1943. Electrician’s Mate Second Class Miller’s heroic conduct was in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
