    The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy and Marine Corps Medal to Chief Electrician’s Mate Kenneth G. Armstrong, United States Navy, for heroic conduct during war patrols in enemy controlled waters during World War II. While serving aboard a United States Submarine during four war patrols in Japanese-controlled waters, Chief Electrician’s Mate Armstrong by his outstanding skill contributed materially to the destruction of an important amount of enemy shipping.
