(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Rear Admiral William A. Sutherland, Jr., United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Commander Fleet Air Hawaii, Commander Naval Air Bases, FOURTEENTH Naval District, Commander Barrier Forces Pacific and Commander Hawaiian Sea Frontier, from July 1964 through October 1967.
