(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain (MC) John H. Cheffey, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States while serving successively in the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, on the Secretary of the Navy’s Retention Task Force and in the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health and Medical), from July 1964 to July 1967.
