(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant, Junior Grade David G. Wilbourne, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism on 15 November 1966, while serving aboard Patrol Craft Fast SEVENTY-SEVEN (PCF-77), at Hue, Vietnam. Lieutenant, Junior Grade, Wilbourne attempted the rescue of several shipmates who were trapped in the after cabin of the sinking craft.
