(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Commander (SC) George L. Stansbury, III, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Assistant Head, Operations and Technical Section, Joint Petroleum Office, Logistics Division, Headquarters Pacific Command, from 26 June 1963 to 28 December 1965, for his work in the establishment of managerial procedures and techniques for the coordination of all bulk petroleum cargo movements in support of current operations throughout the Pacific Command.
