(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Rear Admiral Theodore A. Torgerson, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Director for Communications-Electronics, Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, from July 1963 to June 1966, for insuring rapid development and control of defense communications on a worldwide basis, thus enhancing the command and control capabilities of the Department of Defense.
