The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Aviation Radioman Second Class Earl T. Alpha (NSN: 6646298), United States Navy, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Second Radioman of a Navy Patrol Bomber assigned to attack Marcus Island at low level in daylight on 9 May 1945.
