    The President of the United States of America takes pride in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) to Lieutenant, Junior Grade Arthur Leu Teall (NSN: 0-145319), United States Navy, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while piloting a United States Navy Dive Bomber against Japanese warships at Rabaul, on 5 November 1943. Lieutenant, Junior Grade, Teall pressed home a successful attack against an enemy heavy cruiser despite intense anti-aircraft fire from the Japanese fleet. Later his plane was attacked by enemy aircraft and shot down.
