(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Private First Class Reggie Guy Adams (ASN: 14033191), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in connection with operations against a hostile force while serving with Company L, 3d Battalion, 47th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division, in action against the enemy at the Port of Safi, French Morocco, on 8 November 1942. His unquestionable valor in close combat is in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflects great credit upon himself, the 9th Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
