The President of the United States of America takes pride in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) to Aviation Machinist’s Mate Third Class Ernest Francis Adams (NSN: 3723494), United States Navy, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight engaged in numerous flights during the period 1 to 9 June 1942; and 27 January 1943 to 14 February 1943; and for the daylight bombardment of Bougainville on 14 February 1943.
