Jacobs, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving with Fighter Squadron EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR (VF-874), in action against enemy aggressor forces in Korea on 13 July 1951.
