(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Commander Robert L. Tully, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism at the risk of life not involving conflict with an armed enemy in assisting in the rescue of a downed aircrewman in danger of drowning off the east coast of Korea, on 5 December 1950.
