    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain Rhea McFarland, United States Air Force, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving as a C-17 Pilot during Operation Allies Refuge, the evacuation of Afghanistan, in August 2021. Her professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty under all conditions serve as an inspiration to her fellow flyers. Captain McFarland’s actions reflect the highest credit upon herself and the United States Air Force.
