(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal (Air Force Award) to Corporal Nelson H. Barclay (AFSN: RA-11199054), United States Army, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy of the United States while serving with the FIFTH Air Force, in Korea. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Corporal Barclay, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
