(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Airman Third Class William L. Alexander (AFSN: AF-18381758), United States Air Force, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy of the United States while serving with the FIFTH Air Force, in Korea, in 1952. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Airman Third Class Alexander, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
