Kidwell (AFSN: AO-708894), United States Air Force, for gallantry in action against the enemy while serving as Pilot of a B-26 Invader Attack Bomber of the 452d Bombardment Group (Light), FIFTH Air Force, in aerial operations in Korea, in 1951. Captain Kidwell knocked out seven enemy trucks during a night raid on the Seoul-Pyongyang Highway northwest of the firing fronts. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Captain Kidwell, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
