    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Captain Paul Edwin Jones (AFSN: AO-2056974), United States Air Force, for gallantry in action against the enemy while serving as Pilot of an F-86 Sabrejet Fighter-Bomber of the 39th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 51st Fighter-Interceptor Group, FIFTH Air Force, in aerial operations in Korea, on 20 November 1952. On that date, Captain Jones destroyed two enemy MiG fighters in aerial combat. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Captain Jones, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
