No. 43, W.D., 1918), Sergeant Charles Hutchison (ASN: 1953291), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Sergeant Hutchison distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Battery C, 323d Field Artillery, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Brabant, northwest of Verdun, France, 14 – 15 October 1918, in furnishing ammunition to the front line under a heavy enemy barrage.
